The shooting of Jayasuriya-starrer Currency, directed by debutante Swathi Bhaskar and produced under the banner of Indo-star Movie Magic, has started in and around Kochi.
Actor Mukesh plays a significant role in the film as Danny D'souza, an Anglo-Indian who has the hobby of collecting antiques; Jayasuriya plays a tailor named Keshava Menon alias Keshu.
Meera Nandan is the heroine; Kalabhavan Mani, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Siddique, and Mamookoya others are in the cast.
Scripted by the director himself, Currency will have songs penned by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, Jofi Tharakan and Santhosh Varma set to tune by Siddharth Bipin. Viswamangal Kitsu handles the cinematography, while Gireesh Menon does the art-direction and Manoj the editing.
The movie is scheduled to be completed in a single schedule and is likely to hit screens in time for Onam.
