National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has decided to introduce a new section on documentaries in `Film Bazaar 2008' to be held on November 26-29 on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The new section will be called `Co-Production Market Section for Documentaries'.
With the introduction of a new section on documentaries along with the feature films, the Film Bazaar this year will be bigger and better than in 2007, NFDC Managing Director Nina Gupta said.
The officials will soon invite submissions for feature films and documentaries that are India-centric and aimed at international audiences. Selected projects will have the opportunity to seek collaboration in the realm of distribution and production with potential international and Indian partners.
In the film segment, 15 movie projects, and in the newly-introduced documentary section, 10 projects will be presented at the market for global audiences.
