There is no need to introduce Nalini, who has a strong presence in Tamil serials. Nalini is noted for her sensitive portrayal in Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback, Idavela, Snehamulla Simham, Aavanazhi, Vartha and over a dozen other Malayalam movies. She is already busy taking care of production companies and the four theatres - three in Madurai and one in Dindigul. But she says, "I love to be busy."
Nalini is now doing three serials on Sun TV (Bandham, Kolangal, Porandha Veeda Pugandha Veeda), Mega TV (Dinam Dinam Deepavali), Jaya TV (Jayam) and a serial each in Thamizhan channel and Kalaignar TV. She is doing serials in Kannada and Telugu as well.
Nalini, daughter of Vaikom Murthy, a dancer-choreographer, debuted in Malayalam cinema with Idavela. In fact, she wanted to be a teacher. Nevertheless, she went on to do 20-30 films in Malayalam. Her first Tamil film was Uyirullavarai Usha, which became a huge hit and ran for a whole year. She has already acted in around 80-90 films in Tamil.
She did Telugu and Kannada movies too and has even accepted an offer from Ganesh Acharya for a Hindi film that is scheduled for August. Nalini loves K.P.A.C. Lalitha and loves to play characters that are similar to hers. "I had got many offers in movies and am interested in doing Malayalam movies, provided the subject is good," she added.
