Kargil that depicts the actual story behind the success of the Kargil war will begin its shooting in June at the real locales of the Kargil hills, Mumbai and Delhi. Kargil is the new venture by the director Major Ravi, whose earlier films are Keerthi Chakra and Mission 90 Days.
Ravi plans to complete Kargil in 45 days. With a whopping budget of eight crores, it will be the most expensive film till date in Mollywood. The movie starts shooting from June 5 and will be an Onam release.
Mohanlal plays Mahadevan (a Colonel in the Indian Army). Padmapriya is the heroine of this film which also features Siddhique, Biju Menon, Suraj, Bineesh Kodiyery, Cochin Haneefa and Kannan Pattambi. The film will feature four songs by the Siddharth-Gireesh Puthenchery team.
