It was not long ago that Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif was called the 'Sexiest Woman on the Planet' in a UK poll conducted by a leading magazine. Things seem to be going great for the actress, who has currently been featured on the cover page of world’s costliest lifestyle magazine, ‘Kohl’. She celebrates her birthday on Wednesday.
In fact, it is a privilege for Malayalees to greet this 24-year-old young lady on her birthday, since she has graced Mollywood with her presence in Balram vs. Taradas opposite Mammootty in 2006. Happy birthday Katrina!
“I don’t like throwing lavish parties on my birthday. This year, I am very excited about my mother coming all the way from London to be with me. I am planning to just chill out with some of my friends and have dinner after work. Actually, I am a last-minute person and never like to plan anything beforehand,” she said during an interview to a newspaper.
Born in Hong Kong to an Indian Kashmiri Father and British mother, Katrina is now busy with a lot of promotional activities for Singh Is Kinng, an upcoming Hindi film starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Last year, she celebrated her birthday in London with her family, but today, promotions for Singh Is Kinng take precedence. Otherwise, Katrina was supposed to go to her favourite destination Dubai for a few days during this period.
Talking about having been selected as the Sexiest Woman on the Planet, Katrina said “I don’t consider myself sexy. My friends laugh and say, ‘Sorry, but we don’t find you sexy.' ” She considers herself quite the girl next door. “I’m the most simply-dressed person at parties. When someone calls me glamorous, I understand, but sexy! That’s not me,” she insists.
