Mammootty has started his new venture Mayavi with Shafi. Mammooty has a special character in this film and the film is scripted by the popular director Rafi Mecartin.
Mammootty is playing the role of a handsome guy who always tries to maintain law and order in the society. He is in a dilemma because of the many problems happening in society. He always gives solutions to all these problems which come to his notice. His way of solving problems is quite different; he never involves police and he secretly solves the problem singlehandedly, in his own style. His main aim is to make people lead a happy life.
Mammootty pairs with Gopika; the other cast members are Manoj K. Jayan, Vijayaraghavan, Kireekadan Jose, Spadikam George and Jagathy, who all play different characters. The music is composed by Alex Paul and the lyrics are written by Vayalar Sarachadra Varma.
