This is the latest update Meera Jasmine being banned by the Malayalam Film Association (AMMA). Reports say that AMMA has issued a show cause notice against Meera Jasmine for her refusal to be a part of the movie Twenty:20, produced by the association.
The decision to ban the actress came last month. Meera was offered a big character role opposite Dileep in Twenty:20, in which all Malayalam celebrities are going appear for free. But she refused the role since she clained those dates were already allotted for her other movies.
Meera Jasmine now says that she had been contacting executive producer Dileep from last November, asking whether they can shoot her part in December, January or February. But Dileep was not able to utilize the dates in these months, since those dates clashed with the dates of other stars in the movie. AMMA asked for dates in March, but they had been already marked for a Telugu film that is planned for release by 20th May, she added. Hence, she was not in a position to shoot for Twenty:20, since the dates were already allotted.
However, most of the Mollywood stars in Mollywood believe that the young actress has an attitude problem, which is evident from the fact that she could readily find dates for Kamal's Minnaminnikoottam which started its shoot by April 14, ten days ahead of the days asked by AMMA.
Will AMMA be satisfied with the actress' reply to the show cause notice? Stay with us for further updates.
