Ace director Lal Jose's Neela Thamara (also spelt Neelathamara), a remake of the 1979 hit Neela Thamara, scripted by M.T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Yusaf Ali Kechery, is progressing at locations in Pattambi, Malamalkavu, Chamravattam, Kuttippuram and Thavanur.
The movie is slated for October 9 release. M.T. Vasudevan Nair has rewritten the script and incorporated some modifications in the screenplay. The new version is produced by G. Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandhir.
The film has newcomer Archana from Kannur playing Ambika’s role (Kunjimalu); another newcomer Kamlesh from Thiruvalla will play Ravi Kumar’s role (Haridas). Ambika’s brother Suresh will handle Sathar’s villain role (Appukuttan). Samvritha Sunil dons the role of Rathnam. Vidya Sagar has scored music for lyrics penned by Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma. Vijay Ulaka Nath will wield the camera.
