Earlier, we reported that Madras Mozart A.R. Rahman and stylish director Shankar have been roped in by the CM to create a theme song for the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held in May.

The latest we hear is that the musical genius visited Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at his residence yesterday to discuss more on the song. Interestingly, Karunanidhi has penned the lyrics for the theme song.

Sources say that Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal, daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi and Sun Television Network chairman Kalanithi Maran were also present during the meeting.

Meanwhile, Rahman is all set to add another feather in his cap. The track ‘Jai Ho’, which got him two Academy awards and a Golden Globe, has been nominated in the category of Best Song at the prestigious Grammy awards. Rahman has also been nominated in the category of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Slumdog Millionaire.
