Who said that only Bollywood can churn out multi-starrers? Twenty20, directed by Veteran Joshy, produced and distributed by Dileep on behalf of AMMA, is ready for an early July release.
AMMA is making the film as part of a fund-raising drive, hand in hand with Dileep`s 'Grand Production'. All the AMMA members are acting free in Twenty20! Equal footage has been given to all stars. A huge amount has been given by a leading channel for television rights.
Nayan is appearing in a Malayalam film after nearly three years. The glam queen of South Indian cinema will be doing an item number with Malluwood’s young guns. Nayan had five dress changes, all glamorous outfits.
Nayan agreed to the song when Mammootty, Mohanlal and veteran director Joshy requested it for old times' sake. Brinda master has choreographed it in a disco set at the ‘Poompatta’ magazine, and the entire floor was air-conditioned courtesy AMMA.
The song, composed by Suresh Peters, is said to be 'Adipoli' and will be a highlight of the film. A lot of hype surrounds the song; the sets by veteran art director Joseph Nellikunnu and set up cost a whopping Rs 60 lakhs, the highest-ever for a Malayalam film song picturisation.
Twenty20 has actresses Kaviyoor Ponamma, Sukumari, Meera Jasmine, Kavya Madhavan, Navya Nair, Padmapriya, Bhavana, Samvrutha, Vimala Raman, Kalpana and others adding colour.
A spokesperson of Grand Productions stated, “Twenty20 will be the ultimate multi-starrer in India. All the actors will appear as characters throughout the film and be a part of the story.”
