Vineeth is back at what he does best. He is playing the lead role in Banaras which is based on dance and music. After the much-appreciated Uliyin Osai and Mizhikal Sakshi, the actor who considers himself as a dancer first and an actor next, is coming back to the silver screen. His heroine is the equally talented dancer and actress Kavya Madhavan. Meera Nandan of Mulla fame also has a key role to play in the movie.
The film presents Vineeth as a research student on folk dances and will have some brilliantly choreographed dance sequences. The director Nemam Pushparaj; music is by M. Jayachandran. The singers include K.J. Yesudas, Sadhana Sargam and Shreya Goshal.
The film will start shooting in early September; Kasi,Varanasi and Thiruvananthapuram have been chosen as the locations.
