26th October is the Asin's birthday.
She entered the film arena in 2001 with the Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. This was the only Malayalam film she did.
This Malayali girl then went to make name and fame in Tollywood where she debuted in the year 2003 opposite Ravi Teja in the film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. The remake of this Telugu film in Tamil as M.Kumaran, son of Mahalakshmi, opposite Ravi became her stepping stone to success in Kollywood.
This was followed by several successful and award winning roles in films like Ullam Ketkumae, Ghajini, Maja, Sivakasi, Aalwar, Varalaru, Pokkiri in Tamil and Gharshana, Chakram, Shivamani, Lakshmi Narasimha, in Telugu.
Her current projects include the Deepavali release Vel with Suriya, the Pongal release Dashaavtaram with Kamal Haasan and the Hindi remake of her superhit Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan.
