When MACTA announced its indefinite strike, all production activities and shooting activities came to a halt, and it was thought that the movies would not be able to make to the theatres in time. But when the strike was withdrawn soon, all shooting activities and post-production activities were resumed at a brisker pace to ensure its timely release. But unfortunately, Dileep’s much anticipated movie July 4 opposite Roma could not make it on July 4th, its scheduled release date and got released today. Another big movie that hit the theatres is Mohanlal’s comedy flick Hello by director Rafi-Mecartin. The movie, produced by Joy Thomas Shakthikulangara, under Jithin Arts Banner has Parvathi Melton playing the female lead.
Many other good movies are getting released this month. So the competition is going to be as tough as it was for Vishu releases. Mammootty starrer, Mission 90 days, an investigative thriller by Major Ravi would be released on July 12. Just two days later, on July 14, Arabhikatha, a movie by Lal Jose will hit the theatres.
Suresh Gopi’s starrer Nadiya Kolapetta Ratri by filmmaker K. Madhu and featuring Kavya Madhavan in the lead is slated for release on July 20.
