The indefinite strike by Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) has come to a halt after eight of its demands were fulfilled. MACTA had gone for an indefinite strike from Tuesday with all shooting activities and post-production activities being stopped. The shooting of nine films and the post-production work of six films came to a halt due to the strike.
It was feared that if the strike was not called off soon, it would result in delay in the release of several movies, especially those getting released next month. The shooting and post-production work resumed from June 23. We do hope that all movies scheduled to be released next month will make it in time.
