Though loads of Mammootty films are announced every fortnight, the two announced recently are likely to take off sooner than the others because both of them belong to biggies.
One of them is a Lal creation film. After the stupendous success of Thommanum Makkalum the announcement of this film has created waves in the film circuits. It is tentatively titled Pothanvava. The story of course is by Benny P Nayarambalam who has two mega-hits to his credit (Thommanum Makkalum and Chandupottu) this year. Same is the case with Lal creations, but added to these two films they have the credit of distributing Barathchandran I P S. Director for this film is not yet finalized
Another big project for Mammotty is Renjith’s film Prajapathy. After Black, Rajamanikyam was the film planned. But Renjith was not sure about the subject, and the matter was put on hold. Rajamanikyam turned out to be a big hit and proved that Mammootty is a flexible actor too. Renjith will write the story, screenplay and dialogues for Prajapathy and Rajamanikyam Veliya Veettil Siraj will produce it. The Mammotty-Sreenivasan combo will also be seen in this movie after a long time.
Both the films are of utmost importance to Mammootty so after he finish his immediate backlog of films he will start on these two and we can hopefully see them by mid 2006.
