Mohanlal, who played the role of Major Mahadevan, chief of a commando force in Major Ravi’s Keerthichakra, will continue to play the same role in Major Ravi’s upcoming film, Kargil. While Keerthichakra was based on the relation of Major Mahadevan with Havaldar Jayakrishna (played by Jeeva), Kargil will deal with the aftermaths of the Kargil war.
Major Ravi plans to shoot the big-budget movie in Pakistan, Dubai and India. Keerthichakra was a huge success because of Mohanlal’s astounding performance as Major Mahadevan, tight script, and superb direction by Major Ravi. An ex-service man, Major Ravi, who had worked as a military consultant for Indian films before turning independant director, is currently working on the script of Kargil.
