Malayalam action hero Suresh Gopi's latest release Bullet, the comeback movie of director Nizzar Khan, is let down by a poorly-written script. Though the basic plot is interesting and thrilling, the film as a whole is just mediocre when it comes to visualization. The director could have been made it in a much better manner.

Bullet is about the mysterious disappearance of popular music director Yamunaprasad while busy judging a TV reality show. The movie begins with a scene where successful music composers Yamunaprasad-Gangaprasad kill their teacher and mentor Mahadevan Thampy just because they perceive Mahadevan Thampy as a threat to their professional success.

The next scene shows a very popular TV reality show where Gangaprasad and Yamunaprasad are the judges. They misbehave with the pretty female participants in the show, especially Gayathry and Gouri, and demand sexual favours for ensuring their victory in the competition. Parasurama Bhattathiri (Suresh Gopi), a man dressed like a sanyasi but behaving rather mysteriously, enters at this juncture. He tries to tackle Gangaprasad and Yamunaprasad, but things take a sudden twist when Yamunaprasad goes missing.

Circle Inspector Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji (Kalabhavan Mani) investigates the sudden disappearance of the music composer. Right from the initial stages of the investigation, he clashes with Bhattathiri, suspecting that he is responsible for the music director's disappearance. Some days later, the police find a chopped arm of the missing musician from a dustbin and it becomes evident that he has been murdered. Wahid immediately arrests Bhattathiri, who is later freed since there is no clear evidence against him. Then Bhattathiri declares he will find the real murderer before Wahid. The second half of the film unfolds the rest of the story.

Though the story has all ingredients to become a commercial blockbuster, it unfortunately fails to pick up tempo and suspense due to poor script and direction. The script has too many loose ends. The suspense elements in the climax are not worked out properly. Though a couple of songs by newcomers are hummable, the comic sequences do not impress. Suresh Gopi repeats himself as Parasurama Bhattathiri, while Kalabhavan Mani's performance as Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji is average. The performance of the rest of the cast and technical aspects are average. Altogether, the audience is given an unprofessional visualization of a good story.
